Washington State sophomore goalkeeper Lindsay Parlee was named Pac-10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 23-29, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Parlee, a native of Tualatin, Ore., helped the Cougars post their third-straight shutout at home for the first time since 2003, keeping Gonzaga and Idaho scoreless in WSU's two-game home-stand.
The sophomore, who leads the Conference in saves per game (4.56), recorded six saves in the Cougars' 1-0 shut out of Gonzaga and saved all four shots she faced in the first half against Idaho. Washington State went on to beat the Vandals 2-0.
Washington State is currently on a three-game winning streak and 5-2-3 overall on the season. Next up, the Cougars face intrastate foe Eastern Washington on Friday, Oct. 3.

Lindsay Parlee Named Pacific-10 Soccer Player of the Week
Sophomore leads the conference in saves per match.

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State sophomore goalkeeper Lindsay Parlee was named Pacific-10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 23-29, conference commissioner Tom Hansen announced, Tuesday.
A native of Tualatin, Ore., Parlee recorded six saves in a 1-0 win over Gonzaga, Sept. 26. She followed with a victory against Idaho when she notched four saves in the first half of a 2-0 triumph over the Vandals, Sept. 28.
Parlee ranks 24th-nationally with an 87.2 save percentage and leads the Pac-10 with 4.56 saves per match. She has helped the Cougars post three-straight shutouts at home for the first time since 2003.
The honor is the first for Parlee in her career and the eighth all-time for the WSU program.
